چکیده

38 cases of eczema and eczematoid diseases(19 cases of eczema chronicum, 5 cases ・of lichen Vidal, 6 cases of eczema acutum, 2 cases of dermatitis acuta, 1 case of contact dermatitis, 2 cases of erythroderma Wilson-Brocq, 1 case of erythematodes. 1 case of psoriasis vulgaris, 1 case of pityriasis rosea Gibert) were studied by vital staining method with lithium carmine. As control experiments. 1 case of leukoderma and 3 cases of normal skin were investigated by the same method. 0.5% lithium carmine solution was injected into the inflammatory skin lesions by means of intradermic needle, and about 2 hours after injection the skin was excised. fixed with neutral formalin, stained with hematoxylin, and brought under the microscopic observation. The results were as follows : 1)The cellsingested carmine in the upper layer of the corium were various in shape. but in the lower layer many of them showed spindle configuration and were arranged in parallel with the surface of cutis. 2)The cellsingested carmine were various in numbers even in the inflammatory lesion, and most of the perivascularly infiltrated regions were small in size, round or stellarin shape, and it was assumed that the small histiocytes were present in the socalled small round cellinfiltration. 3) In cases of eczema chronicum, lichen Vidal and erythematodes discoides chronicus, the carmine ingested cells were seen markedly in numbers. especially in the lower layer of the corium, while rather rare in the upper layer. 4) In cases of acute lesions such as eczema acutum. dermatitis acuta and contact dermatitis, the carmine ingested cells were less in numbers, especially very rare in the lower layer of corium, and most of them were seen in the upper layer. 5) These findings should be regarded as the results of the essential tissue reaction due tot゙he acute and chronic inflammatory process respectively. That is to say in chronic inflammatory process it is considered that a certain irritable reaction was formed in the subcutaneous reticulo-endothelial system.
